Q: How many clays are on the course?
A: Approximately 7 stations with a total of 50 targets per person. The team will also shoot the flurry, which is a team event. The 4-person team will shoot side by side at a total of 50 targets in approximately 60-90 seconds. There will be multiple targets in the air at one time, which means if you aren’t shooting, you are loading.
Q: How much ammo should I bring/buy?
A: Each person will need approx. 75-100 shells.
Q: Can I bring my own ammo?
A: Yes, you can bring your own ammo. It needs to be bird shot (7.5, 8, or 9 shot, lead) with a shell length of 2.75”. We will also have 12-gauge ammo available to purchase at the event. We will sell ammo for $12/box of 25 shells ($48/person).
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: Bring a 12- or 20- gauge shotgun (Clinton House rents guns), ammo, eye/ear protection, and spending money for mulligans and bonus birds stations. Four-person golf carts will be provided for the teams, but there will be a prize for those who bring their own cart or side x side UTV.
