I grew up in a loving Christian home with 2 older brothers and one younger brother. The first 13 years of my life I lived in Massachusetts, the majority of which was on an Equestrian farm owned by close family friends. Their youngest daughter became my best friend! She has been a great spiritual influence to me right from the beginning helping me grow in Christ.

God has blessed with me with many opportunities to work with horses my whole life. Riding often 2 or 3 times daily I learned many training techniques to exercise and help train some of the horses and prepare for and then participate in shows (jumping). I’ve also ridden on drill teams and trails, learned basic dressage, helped with camps all summer long, and even rode on horseback for several years in the local 4th of July Parade. I’ve been swimming on horses and love riding on horses in feet of snow bareback!

March of 2014 our family moved down here to South Carolina and I started volunteering at Hope Remains that fall. I am grateful to use what the Lord has taught me so far with horses to serve Him here at the Ranch… I love working here with the staff, getting to pour into the lives of the kids!

What is your favorite thing about your job?

I love seeing the joy in the kids’ faces when they get on a horse and I’m grateful to be a part of that.

What’s an interesting or random fact about you?

I got the opportunity to learn some trick riding on horseback! That was really neat!
