My story began in a small town in Southern Ohio. I moved south to Rutherford County, North Carolina at the age of 5. At first I hated the fact that I wasn’t near to my grandparents that I am very close to. Looking back now, I am so very thankful that my parents heeded to God’s calling by moving south. I was very blessed to be raised in Christian home and attend a wonderful church.

At the age of 18, I got married and moved to Polk County, NC. I began to take my eyes off of God and place them solely on my husband. After having my second son. I began to feel God tugging at my heart, wanting to me put Him first again in my life. I began to seek the Lord whole heartily, not knowing what storms lay waiting ahead. God was preparing for the storm that could have easily sucked me up and destroy me, however what the devil means for evil, if you allow God to be God in your life He will turn it for His glory. Just months after surrendering totally to God, I was faced with divorce and loss of my best friend. Thank God for His amazing mercy, grace and peace that He lavishly poured down on me. At the age of 25 I and my boys moved back home to Rutherford County, where I was able to attend to my home church once again.

God always supplies our needs, even when we don’t know what we need. I was able to find work to help support the boys and I. I am so very thankful for the storm that God has led me through, it has made me see God for who He is in His sovereignty and for who I am in Him! God answered my prayers in December of 2015 and gave me a Godly husband and a wonderful Bonus-Dad to my boys.

I have been blessed to go to church with Kelly Brown who, introduced me to Hope Remains long before I had the privilege of work here. Toward the end of 2017 God called My Husband (Ethan) and I into the ministry. Learning to trust in God now has a whole new meaning. When I learned of the job opportunity at Hope Remains I was a Medicaid Caseworker for Rutherford County. During the interview with Melanie I knew this is where God was calling me. I am so blessed to be able to work in place where I can serve God and help others.
